Introduction
Space law is governed by International laws and treaties, as well as the laws of individual nations, particularly nations which are "space active". The governing international law can include international custom, conventions, treaties and U.N. resolutions. Space law can be analogized to the Law of Sea, the Antarctic Treaty System and also to Air Law, which may actually apply to some aspects of space travel. Space law issues can include tort law (personal injury and property damage), contract law, administrative law (safety and other regulations)and property law.
